Everything we teach at a Greenwich Finance Series event, written out in full and free for any student, parent, or teacher to use. Four pillars, each built with working finance professionals.
How to build a plan around an hourly job, an allowance, or a summer paycheck — and how to size an emergency buffer when your income is seasonal.
Gross versus net pay, what a W-4 actually does, how marginal brackets work, and what to expect on the first payslip of your first job.
Compounding, diversification, index funds, and the practical question: what can someone under 18 actually open, and with how much?
Where machine learning meets modern markets, walked through with the same Python notebook our students ran at Greenwich Town Hall.
Financial literacy is not a graduation requirement in most Connecticut high schools. Students leave with a strong academic record and no working understanding of a payslip, a tax withholding line, or a brokerage account. Our events reach a room at a time; these pages exist so the same material is available to anyone who could not be there.
Each guide follows the same rule as our sessions: no product recommendations, no affiliate links, and no pretending that a topic is simpler than it is. Where something is genuinely uncertain — market returns, model accuracy — we say so.
Teachers and club advisers are welcome to use these pages directly. If you would rather we came and taught the material in person, we do that at no cost — get in touch, or see the sessions we have run.
